The bi-monthly AKIWAWA party run by DJ Pun & Rainer at Kaschemme Basel is back!
This time with special guest DJ Soulinus. Together with DJ Pun they they started the "Beats on Tap" party series at TapTab Musikraum in Schaffhausen, inviting many great international DJs, then moving it to Das Schiff in Basel later and renamed the night to "Beats on Board" with special guests like Quantic Music playing incredible sets. Ten years agoSoulinus & Pun released the fantastic compilation "This is DJs choice Vol 1" on Unique Records, containing some of the finest contemporary funk and breakbeats sounds. They've toured through Switzerland, Germany and Austria, rocked many dancefloors. After touring, Soulinus or Linus Munz then changed his foucs solely on booking and promoting Artists in Europe, working for agencies (now Emerged Agency) and for Kaserne Basel for many years and was rarely seen behind the turntables. in 2009 Bernasconi Sandro started the Soul & Funk night "Antz In The Pantz" at Kaserne with the resident DJs Pun & Rainer and Linus booked many of the incredible live shows and DJ acts for the series. We are happy to have Soulinus behind the decks again on this special evening. Not to be missed... AKIWAWAAAAA

Vor 10 Jahren veröffentlichte DJ Soulinus zusammen mit DJ Pun die Compilation "This Is DJs Choice Vol.1" auf dem legendären, deutschen Unique Records Label. Ein Doppelalbum gespickt mit aktuellen Funk- sowie BreakBeat Perlen wie Quantic, Keno-I, Flevans etc. ! Die beiden tourten gemeinsam durch Deutschland, die Schweiz und Österreich, rockten etliche Parties mit ihren sau gut gemixten Funk, Breaks und Electronica Tracks. Ab 2005 bespielten sie ihren Abend "Beats On Tap" im Tap-Tap Schaffhausen, der wurde dann rheinabwärts nach Basel "verschifft" und kurzerhand passend in "Beats On Board" umgetauft. Die Party 2006 auf dem Schiff in Basel als Will "Quantic" Holland mit ihnen auflegte ist noch in allerbester Erinnerung. Nach der Plattenreleasetour pausierte DJ Soulinus aka Linus mit dem DJ dasein, er widmete sich stattdessen vollkommen dem Buchen und Promoten von Künstlern. Es sollte eine lange DJ Pause werden, dafür holte er unglaubliche Acts in die Kaserne Basel, besonders für die von Sandro Bernasconi ins Leben gerufene Blackmusic Reihe "Antz in the Pantz" mit den resident DJs Pun & Rainer.

Aber genug Vergangenheit gewälzt, am 15.12. ist es mal wieder an der Zeit, dass er den "Soul" vor den Linus packt. Wir freuen uns sehr.
